“It was a pleasure to have seen the Journeyman Arts Company perform  “The Comfort Zone”. The performance perfectly set the scene for the evenings discussions and provided ample material for the audience to think about. Feedback has been very positive about the piece. It was tremendous to see such a sensitive and powerful performance. I would like to thank you and your fellow actors for contributing so powerfully to this event and for helping to make the evening a success'

24-6-04 Camden & Islington Black & Minority Mental Health Strategy

Drama workshop (Lambo Day Centre) held during May & June and Facilitated by Journeyman Arts company to enable mental health users to explore 3 key themes of the BME strategy -.

"The information gained from the workshops was used to shape the presentation at the event. The audience responded positively and clearly identified with the issues raised during the performance. In particular, a scene depicting a service user about to be discharged from hospital and being introduced to a multitude of staff. There was bewilderment with regards to the range of individuals, titles and roles without a clear understanding of how it fits’"

"The drama was excellent”

                                                 Celebrating Diversity-Communication & cultural differences

6-10-05 Barnet, Enfield, and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust- Chase Farm

“One of the more reflective moments in the day was a drama performance from an outside group Journeyman Arts. This involved a series of semi-improvised sketches that while humorous displayed some of the communication issues and difficulties that service users can experience in medium secure setting, with both the system and it’s staff. The sketches focused around being listened to and heard, and how expressing thoughts, feelings or even basic requests can be pathologised or ignored. For many of the users the performance struck a cord, and several people were keen to take up acting and devise their own pieces with Journeyman Arts.”
